Carla Hines is a Senior Move Manager and Professional Organizer. She launched Bringing Order Back in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2014 after 25+ years as the chief executive of several non-profits, including 13 ½ as President and CEO of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Silicon Valley Chapter.
In her many years of working with health-related NGOs, Carla developed strong relationships with clients and their families. She is known for her patience and compassion, especially in lessening stress and anxiety that can accompany the major life transition of leaving a residence of many years.
Working with clients and often their families, Carla offers a ½ complimentary consultation/assessment. She then develops a Project Action Plan, providing clear notations of each segment of the project and an estimate of the cost. Upon the completion of emptying the home, she coordinates the packing and move with the moving company. Lastly, she organizes the new home to best resemble the client’s previous surroundings, making it as comfortable as possible.
Carla says she feels fortunate in that many of her clients become friends whom she periodically visits once they are settled into their new community. Maybe that’s because she brings her naturally lighthearted, non-judgmental attitude to each client project with her gentle and compassionate nature when working with the elderly — and that has sometimes meant light hoarders.
